World’s biggest racist will attend “anti-racism” conference

April 11, 2009

The UN’s Durban II conference is to begin on April 20th.  Billed as a process to eliminate racism and xenophobia it actually is nothing more than sanctioned Israel-bashing.  So offensive to normal sensibilities were the proceedings at Durban I that George Bush ordered home the US contingent in attendance.

I mentioned last week that in advance of this conference the OIC was pushing for UN approval a resolution calling for “protection against acts of hatred, discrimination, intimidation and coercion resulting from defamation of religions and incitement to religious hatred in general.”  Bus as I said then, these protections are intended for one religion only and Judaism is not it.  This will be proven once Durban II starts; I guarantee I’ll report back the anti-Israel (read: anti-Jew) rhetoric that will dominate the discussions.

A telling portend of the likely ugliness that be on display throughout this conference is that Holocaust-denier Mahmoud Ahmadinejad plans to attend.

…Ahmadinejad denies the Holocaust, has advocated genocide and openly seeks the annihilation of the state of Israel.  In providing a hatemonger with a global platform–under the banner of an “anti-racism” conference–the United Nations has become an enabler of genocide. It is time for every decent, self-respecting democratic state to withdraw immediately from Durban II.

Note, that’s every decent, self respecting democratic state.  After the Obama “please forgive us” tour last week I seriously doubt the current administration has the self-respect or the cojones to take such a strong stand.  I guess only “cowboys’ do such things, especially when doing so may offend the sensibilities of those whom Obama has been working so hard to bow to, so to speak.

Let’s hope I’m wrong.
